In one of the most important Encyclicals of our time, Pope Francis addresses humanity's relationship with the natural world in Laudato Si' (Praise Be to You). "Laudato si''' is the introductory phrase to eight verses of St. Francis of Assisi's famous prayer thanking God for the gifts of creation. “Praise be to you, my Lord, through our Sister, Mother Earth, who sustains and governs us, and who produces various fruit with coloured flowers and herbs.” The Christian and secular world have been captivated by the papacy of Pope Francis and in his encyclical Laudato Si', he challenges all people to praise God for his glorious creation and work to safeguard her.
